Partnership Mission

Glen 20 and Woolworths have partnered with Meals on Wheels to help Can Loneliness & Create Connection.

At Glen 20 and Meals on Wheels, supporting Australians – especially our most vulnerable – is core to what we do. With the onset of COVID-19, the need for disinfection became evermore apparent and highlighted those who are particularly more vulnerable in our community.

While 90% of older Australians believe social connection is important to their wellbeing, 1in3 have been interacting less since the start of the pandemic1

Over 70% of Australians feel a hygienic home would make them feel more confident to connect1

Glen 20 has been helping protect Australians from the spread of germs for over 50 years and with the proven ability to kill the COVID-19 virus, Glen 20 is suitably positioned to help can loneliness and create moments of connection for vulnerable Australians.

That is why Glen 20 and Woolworths have partnered with Meals on Wheels to donate 100,000 cans of Glen 20 (worth AUD $900,000 RRP) to vulnerable Australians with every Pine O Cleen or Glen 20 purchase in Woolworths2.

Each can will help Can Loneliness & Create Connection by helping to ensure a hygienic environment to give Meals on Wheels volunteers and clients the peace of mind to reconnect socially in their homes.

Meet Faye

Since Faye’s husband passed away seven years ago, she has lived at home alone. Moments of joy and peace of mind come from being a part of the Meals on Wheels community, where Faye has received meals and built friendships with her favourite “vollies” for over a decade.

Meet Colin

As a Meals on Wheels volunteer coordinator, Colin is the man behind the scenes, making sure customers are cared for, healthy food gets out the door and into their homes with ease.

Every now and then, Colin loves to deliver the meals himself and experience the result of providing Meals on Wheels customers with connection and peace of mind that puts a smile on both their faces.

Meet Angie

As a dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteer, Client Liaison Officer Angie gets peace of mind by ensuring customers receive the best care and support, while also feeling connected in their community. Angie has been a Meals on Wheels volunteer for more than 20 years – she loves it that much!
