Service Excellence Award

This award is presented to a Meals on Wheels service that has demonstrated best practice in relation to delivering meals that adhere to the National Meal Guidelines, the monitoring of customers’ health and wellbeing and fostering connections within local communities.

In 500 to 600 words, provide details of how the nominated service;

  • provides high quality and nutritious meals that adhere to the National Meal Guidelines.
  • has processes in place that actively and continually seek and respond to customer feedback and can demonstrate how this information leads to service improvements (Provide at least two examples of instances where customer feedback has led to service improvements)
  • has systems and processes in place that ensure customers' health and wellbeing is monitored and that follow up actions occur when required.
  • can demonstrate that staff and volunteers are trained, involved and engaged in all aspects of the service.
  • builds social connections within the local community (Provide at least two examples)
  • provides capacity building opportunities for volunteers (Provide at least one example)
