Meals on Wheels South Australia is an innovative, community-driven organisation with a proud history of supporting older South Australians to live independently. Since our founding in 1954 by Doris Taylor MBE, we’ve grown into a statewide network of more than 80 branches, united by the passion and commitment of thousands of volunteers.

For over 70 years, we’ve been delivering more than just food. With over 50 million meals provided to date, our service offers nutritious meals, daily wellbeing checks and genuine social connection — helping people remain safe, healthy and connected in their own homes.

While we honour our long and meaningful history, we continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers and communities. Today, Meals on Wheels SA remains a trusted, future-focused organisation dedicated to nourishing wellbeing and strengthening community across South Australia.
